Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Frisbæk ApS (CVR: DK 37932108, “we”, “us”), the company behind mansted, collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you visit or make a purchase from mansted.dk (the “Site”). Frisbæk ApS is the data controller for this processing.

1. Personal Information We Collect

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including your web browser, IP address, time zone, and cookie data. As you browse, we also collect information about the pages and products you view and how you interact with the Site. We refer to this as “Device Information”.

When you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, payment details, email address, and phone number. We refer to this as “Order Information”.

When you sign up for our newsletter, contact customer service, or use the chat on the Site, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, and the content of your message.

Together, this is referred to as “Personal Information” in this policy.

2. How We Use Your Personal Information

We use your Order Information to:

  • Fulfil orders, process payments, and arrange shipping and returns

  • Send you order confirmations, shipping updates, and invoices

  • Communicate with you about your order

  • Screen for potential fraud or risk

  • Invite you to review your purchase, if you have not opted out

We use your Device Information to run and secure the Site, improve and optimise it, generate analytics about how customers browse and interact with it, and, if you have given consent, show you relevant advertising.

We use your newsletter sign-up to send you news and offers by email. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process your Personal Information on the following legal bases:

  • Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): To fulfil orders you place with us and handle returns

  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): To comply with Danish bookkeeping and tax laws

  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): To prevent fraud, secure and improve the Site, respond to your enquiries, and invite you to review your purchase

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): For newsletters, and for statistics and marketing cookies, including targeted advertising. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

4. Sharing Your Personal Information

We share your Personal Information with trusted third parties only where necessary to run our business:

  • Shopify, which powers our online store, sends our order emails and newsletters, and processes payments. See shopify.com/legal/privacy

  • Payment providers such as Shopify Payments and MobilePay, to process your payment

  • Shipmondo and the carriers we use (for example GLS and UPS), to deliver your order and handle returns

  • Traede, our order and inventory system, and e-conomic, our bookkeeping system

  • Tawk.to, which runs the chat on the Site

  • Trustpilot, to invite you to review your purchase

  • Google (Analytics and Ads) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for statistics and advertising, only with your cookie consent. See Google’s privacy policy and Meta’s privacy policy

These providers process your data on our behalf under data processing agreements, or as independent controllers where they are legally required to be. We may also share your Personal Information where required by law, such as in response to a court order or legal request.

5. Transfers Outside the EU/EEA

Some of our providers, including Shopify, Google, and Meta, may process data in the United States. Where this happens, the transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Cookies and Targeted Advertising

We use cookies to run the Site, remember your preferences, understand how the Site is used, and show you relevant advertising. Necessary cookies are always active. Statistics and marketing cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the cookie banner on the Site.

7. Data Retention

We keep your Order Information for 5 years from the end of the financial year in which the order was placed, as required by the Danish Bookkeeping Act (Bogføringsloven). Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Customer service and chat conversations are kept for up to 2 years. Device Information is kept for as long as necessary for the purposes described above; cookie lifetimes are shown in the cookie banner. You may ask us to delete your data at any time, and we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it.

8. Your Rights

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you

  • Have your information corrected, updated, or deleted

  • Object to or restrict certain types of processing

  • Receive your data in a portable format

  • Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal

  • Lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) at datatilsynet.dk

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
